American Green Jobs – Supported by the EPA and the Department of Labor, this web site will serve as the central hub for information dissemination and collaboration among individuals and organizations interested in all aspects of green job development.

O*NET Resource Center - Sponsored by the US Department of Labor/Employment and Training Administration O*NET provides a broad database of occupational information and provides the ability to search their database with specific focus on the green economy sector.

Certification and Accreditation

Institute for Sustainable Power – The Institute for Sustainable Power, Inc. is a non-profit corporation organized to provide a quality framework for the accreditation of training programs and the certification of renewable and sustainable energy practitioners and professionals. As of July 2005, the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) has become the North American Licensee for the ISPQ DIS 01021 Standard for Renewable Energy Training Accreditation and Instructor Certification Programs.

NABCEP – The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners – NABCEP is a voluntary, non-profit, professional credentialing organization that certifies qualified practitioners in the fields of renewable and sustainable energy, and energy efficiency technologies, who have met the professional knowledge standards established by the NABCEP.

UL University – UL University is an ISO 9001 registered function of UL, UL University offers a broad range of subject matter with flexible content delivery.  UL offers a PV System Installer certification program which is open to licensed electricians.  The goal of the PV System Installer certification is to improve the safety and performance of PV systems through a more qualified workforce.

SRCC – Solar Rating and Certification Corporation – The Solar Rating and Certification Corporation administers a certification, rating, and labeling program for solar collectors and a similar program for complete solar water and swimming pool heating systems.

SWCC – Small Wind Certification Council – An independent certification body which will certify that small wind turbines meet or exceed the performance, durability, and safety requirements of the Small Wind Turbine Performance and Safety Standard. This certification will provide a common North American standard for reporting turbine energy and sound performance and help small wind technology gain mainstream acceptance.

AEE – Association for Energy Engineers – The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is a nonprofit professional society of 9,500 members in 73 countries.  AEE offers a variety of certifications to recognize expertise in the areas of energy, power, green facilities, and industry.

BPI – Building Performance Institute – The Building Performance Institute offers nationally recognized training, certification, accreditation, and quality assurance programs.

GBCI – Green Building Certification Institute – The Green Building Certification Institute provides third-party project certification and professional credentials recognizing excellence in green building performance and practice.
