Bobbi Butch, Assistant Dean of Instruction at Delaware Technical & Community College, writes that they are currently developing a new Energy Management Program, and are searching for an 11-month faculty member to assist with development of this program.
“We’re looking for someone who will oversee the development and implementation of a new Energy Management Technology program, including development of the curriculum, courses, student projects, lab activities, student learning outcomes assessment, and related manuals that meet the Partnership of Environmental Technology Education (PETE) and the Advanced Technology Environmental Education Center (ATEEC) standards and guidelines,” said Butch.
According to the job description, this new faculty member will set up the educational lab facility and acquire equipment through a variety of means, as well as teach courses, preparing students with the training qualifications, knowledge and skills to meet the growing energy needs within our community. Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and knowledge of and experience with instructional program development, syllabus construction, and student learning outcomes assessment is preferred. The incumbent may serve as an Instructional Coordinator, upon appointment by the Campus Director.
