FLASH – Correction to North Carolina’s IC/NM rules

North Carolina’s new interconnection rules are applicable, not only to small generators with a capacity of 10 MW or less, but also to any state-jurisdicational interconnection in NC, regardless of the size of the generator.

Also, the current net metering limitations equal 20 kW (and not 25 kW as we stated) for residential and 100 kW for non-residential systems; although this limit may be increased per the discussions which are currently underway. We apologize for our prior misstatement.

Please note that as of 2 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2008, this correction has been made to both the July 2008 Connecting to the Grid newsletter and news story entitled “NORTH CAROLINA – NCUC adopts new state IC rules.
