IREC is pleased to release the February 2010 updated version of the Best Practices & Recommended Guidelines for Renewable Energy Training.
The 26-page document covers recommended principles for training; reviews industry-approved job/task analyses; discusses types of educational programs; walks through the essential steps of designing a training course; offers a checklist for assessing learning outcomes; looks at certification and accreditation; and lists resources to assist in training.
“It is IREC’s hope that this updated Best Practices offer good guidance that leads to quality training for a strong and competent workforce,” said Jane Weissman, IREC’s Executive Director. Weissman continues to say, “We thank Jerry Ventre for his work on this version and the expertise he brings to the document as an educator and a subject matter expert.”
This is the second release of the publication. IREC will continue to update the document as new information becomes available.
