NEW JERSEY: Wind Incentive Program Put On Hold

New Jersey recently announced a temporary hold on all new Renewable Energy Incentive Program (REIP) wind applications and rebate processing, following reports of problems with some wind turbines previously installed.  A public meeting of the New Jersey Wind Working Group was held on April 14, 2011, to discuss next steps.

The state requested additional information from manufacturers for applications already submitted.  Rebates for these applications will be processed once that information is provided.  It has not yet been decided how to handle new applications.
