Deadline extended to October 15
In response to multiple requests, IREC is extending for two weeks the early registration discount for the national Clean Energy Workforce Education Conference (CEWEC). Now attendees can take advantage of a significant registration discount through October 15. Today’s premier national platform for educating the renewable energy and energy efficiency workforce – the national conference is expected to draw 500 clean energy educators and trainers, November 13-15, 2012 in Albany, NY.
Offering more than 84 presenters over three days, the nation’s most innovative clean energy educators will offer the latest information and insight on instructional strategies, curricula development, credentialing and best training practices.
“This conference is a great venue for workforce practitioners from around the country to exchange best practices in and out of formal sessions,” says Sarah White, Ph.D., senior associate at the Center on Wisconsin Strategy (COWS). “Gathering experts from an astonishing variety of institutions, CEWEC is a perfect size for broad yet meaningful exchange on a host of clean energy topics.”
“This unique conference has truly become the premiere forum for energy educators,” adds Joseph Sarubbi, project manager for IREC’s role as national administrator of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Instructor Training Network.
Three plenary sessions, over 60 breakout presentations, and five pre-conference technical workshops will fuel participants with a breadth of facts, ideas, and best instructional models under way at community colleges, technical high schools, skill centers, trades and industry training centers across the country.
The primary 2012 conference sponsor is The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). IREC is the conference organizer.
