NREL Announces Distributed Wind Turbine RFP

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) National Wind Technology Center recently released Requests For Proposals (RFP) for the Distributed Wind Turbine Competitiveness Improvement Projects.

The RFPs are available on the Federal Business Opportunities website https://www.fbo.gov/.

  • Solicitation Number RFC-3-23072: Distributed Wind Turbine Competitiveness Improvement Project – Component and Manufacturing Process Improvements.  The intent for this solicitation is to award up to four 18-month subcontracts worth about $350,000 each under this solicitation.
  • Solicitation Number RFC-3-23530: Distributed Wind Turbine Competitiveness Improvement Project – Turbine Testing. NREL intends to award up to two 18-month $150,000 subcontracts under this solicitation, split between prototype testing and certification testing.
