Director of Development
IREC is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and innovative development expert to provide strategic direction and oversight of the organization’s development operations, including prospect research, corporate and foundation relations, government grants, annual giving, and donor and funder stewardship (with a particular focus on corporate and foundation fundraising). Reporting to IREC’s President and CEO and in partnership with the Management Team, the Director of Development will strengthen and expand IREC’s fundraising program, which establishes and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with foundation, government and corporate partners, and individual donors. The Director will develop and implement fundraising strategies to support IREC’s mission and revenue goals, guided by established metrics. This is a full-time, exempt position and is a new staff role in the organization (previously consultants have assisted with development). Elearning Instructional Designer (CLOSED)
IREC is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and innovative Elearning Instructional Designer to design, develop, update, and maintain learning content for adults. IREC training is focused on increasing the effectiveness of a range of professionals with clean energy technologies, such as solar, energy storage, wind, building performance, and energy efficiency. Reporting to IREC’s Director of Training Development, the Elearning Instructional Designer will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to identify training gaps and produce content that removes barriers to the deployment of clean energy across the country. IREC is in search of an ambitious, self-motivated, and self-directed Program Engineer to support IREC’s state and national engagement and leadership on distributed energy resource policies. This position will provide support for IREC’s Regulatory Program, with direction from IREC’s Chief Regulatory Engineer and reporting to IREC’s Regulatory Vice President, and will interface with IREC’s regulatory team of attorneys, as well as IREC’s Management Team. IREC is seeking an electrical engineer who is familiar with electric distribution and transmission system design and engineering, distributed energy resources (DER) design and engineering, and who is able to provide technical expertise to support IREC’s Regulatory Program. These efforts support IREC’s mission to enable significantly higher penetrations of DERs, increase consumer access to clean energy, and expedite the transition to a more modern, low-carbon electricity grid. SolSmart Program Manager
The Solar Foundation is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to achieve aggressive goals to support increased national solar deployment. The Program Manager will provide technical assistance to local governments pursuing designation under the U.S. Department of Energy-funded SolSmart program (solsmart.org). He/she will work as part of a small, dynamic team to help communities reduce local barriers to the adoption of solar energy. They will focus on permitting and inspection, planning and zoning, government operations, community engagement, and market development as well as other federal, state, and local solar topics. The Program Manager will also work with a broad coalition of other stakeholders, demonstrating thought leadership at both the strategic and tactical levels.
