IREC believes that quality training is the underpinning of the successful transition of the workforce.  A workforce that has been trained with the skills to perform competently on the job protects the consumer, protects our investment and sets the stage for achieving real results in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Pat Fox, IREC’s Director of Operations and leads IREC’s Institute for Sustainable Power Quality (ISPQ) Accreditation & Certification Programs, presented at the 4th national Clean Energy Workforce Education Conference in Saratoga Springs on March 10, 2011.  Her presentation, A Foundation for Training: ISPQ Credentialing, reviewed the ISPQ process, discussed the recognized job task analyses, and reviewed trends observed in accredited and credentialed training programs.
