Since 2005, small wind energy state stakeholders have met to share information on their small wind programs and learn from other experts. The 2009 meeting, being held on May 6th from 1-5 p.m., is the largest to date, with 17 states represented.
“This is the largest meeting to date,” said IREC’s Larry Sherwood, who organized the event. “There are lots of small wind industry folks, non-profits and two categories of colleges—those doing R&D work, or interested in being a test facility, and those colleges that are looking for workforce development opportunities.”
At this meeting, states will share information on their small wind programs and learn from other experts. The meeting is scheduled during the WindPower Conference, but it does not conflict with the small wind conference sessions. See the draft agenda.
Presentations from this meeting will be available on the IREC site. Stay tuned.
