The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) Wind Division will host a webinar February 11, 2014, at 3 p.m. ET
 on the topic of Small Wind Standards.  The webinar will provide an overview of the status of the world and U.S. market requirements for turbines under 200 m2 of swept area. Participants will learn how the recent revision of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard 61400-2 will affect the marketplace for global certification and labeling while quality infrastructure is still in a state of flux.

Small wind expert Trudy Forsyth will present.  Trudy is the managing director of Wind Advisors Team, a virtual consulting company that specializes in distributed and small wind standards, technology, global markets, and policies. She co-led IEC standards-making activities since 1999, and she led the DOE/NREL distributed wind program from 1995-2012.
