Connecticut PUC reschedules hearing on network interconnections

The Connecticut Department of Public Utilities (DPUC) has rescheduled a hearing regarding The Connecticut Light and Power Company and The United Illuminating Company’s December 10, 2009 proposed revisions to guidelines to formalize a mechanism for allowing interconnection of certain inverter-based generators to area networks and supporting materials. These were filed as compliance to Order No. 4 in Docket No. 03-01-15RE01, the DPUC investigation into the need for interconnection standards for distributed generation.  Pursuant to a DPUC decision dated December 23, 2009, the DPUC will conduct a public hearing for the limited purpose of considering the utilities’ proposed changes to the guidelines. Letters will be accepted from members of the general public who have an interest in the outcome of this matter through the last day of the proceeding.   The hearing will take place on February 18, 2010.  This issue is being considered under Docket No. 03-01-15RE02.
