On February 4, 2011, the Mount Pleasant Solar Cooperative provided comments to the D.C. Public Service Commission to provide information regarding their frustrations with Potomac Electric Power Company’s (Pepco) implementation of net metering. Specifically they challenged that Pepco is taking too long to install meters and is unresponsive to legitimate concerns over meter installation and billing.

On December 6 of 2010, the PSC had held a Status Conference to discuss these issues and allow Pepco a chance to respond to the Solar Co-op’s concerns.  The Co-op provided these comments in response to Pepco’s request for more information about the nature of the problems.  Mount Pleasant is requesting that the PSC require Pepco to install meters within 30 days of the customer inspection and file regular reports on the complaints they are getting about net metering and how they were resolved.
