Two training organizations and two individual instructors in the clean energy industry have recently been awarded the prestigious IREC Credential.

Two training organizations and two individual instructors in the clean energy industry have recently been awarded the prestigious IREC Credential.

“IREC applauds these new credential holders for their commitment to high quality training and continuous improvement,” said Laure-Jeanne Davignon, director of IREC’s Credentialing Program. “Their successful pursuit of the IREC credential puts them in the ranks of the most outstanding training providers who lead our growing clean energy industry.”

IREC credential holders provide training and education that is aligned with employer needs, so graduates are assured they are gaining knowledge and skills that are valued in the marketplace. Built on a strong foundation of industry-vetted standards, the IREC credential is a trusted source of quality for employers, students, consumers and other stakeholders.

For more than 30 years, IREC has led national efforts to make clean energy accessible and affordable for more Americans, works through regulatory efforts and broad workforce development initiatives, including the IREC Credentialing Program. Regarded as an independent thought-leader on clean energy workforce development, IREC is the national administrator of the widely recognized Solar Instructor Training Network, and is an ANSI-accredited American National Standards Developer.

The organizations below have successfully completed a rigorous assessment process for their curriculum, administration, facilities, tools and hardware, personnel, and safety practices. Instructors are evaluated on the basis of their teaching and technical experience, as well as teaching practice and commitments to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
