Kennebec Valley Community College is looking for a full-time solar thermal instructor to start during the summer/fall of 2010.  Primary responsibilities include the development of curriculum, instruction, and program delivery in support of the Northeast Solar Heating and Cooling Instructor Training Network.

The qualified applicant will need to demonstrate significant experience in the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of residential, commercial and industrial plumbing systems.  Experience with HVAC systems will be considered.  A state recognized master plumber’s license and/or professional engineer’s license is required and the minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master’s degree preferred. Prior experience with solar thermal design and installations and prior teaching experience at college level or industry are desired.
