The Interstate Renewable Energy Council, Inc. (IREC) is pleased to announce that ONTILTIY, LLC of Houston Texas (formerly Advanced Energy Strategies – ADVEN, LLC) has been awarded the Institute for Sustainable Power Quality (ISPQ) Accreditation for Continuing Education for its ‘Solar Installation Training – Solar Electric Training’ course offering.
This solar installation training course teaches the NABCEP Photovoltaic (PV) Entry Level of Knowledge learning objectives. It was developed against the NABCEP PV task analysis, NABCEP Entry Level Learning Objectives, the NEC, OSHA standards, manufacturer’s product specifications and NREL data. It includes 40 hours of professional training presented in five days of sessions along with 8 hours of home study.
ONTILITY does not maintain its own training facility or site. Training is conducted at college campuses in Louisiana and Texas. The ONTILITY team takes responsibility for ensuring that facilities meet ISPQ requirements.
The company, Advanced Energy Strategies (ADVEN, LLC), was established to offer training in entry level and advanced solar PV, and entry level solar thermal and energy efficiency for RESNET HERS Rater certification. ADVEN, LLC has now merged with ONTILITY, LLC and changed its name to ONTILITY, LLC. The intent of this merger is to create one of the clean-tech industry’s most comprehensive energy efficiency and renewable energy training, service supply and support companies in the country.
To achieve the award of Accreditation, ONTILITY went through a comprehensive application and audit process. During IREC’s ISPQ accreditation process all documentation is examined and verified through the audit. The IREC ISPQ Award Committee makes the final determination to grant status or not based on the auditor’s report and scrutiny of the candidate’s material.
The Interstate Renewable Energy Council, Inc. is the North American Licensee for the ISPQ International Standard #01021 for the Accreditation and Certification of Renewable Energy Training Programs. IREC, a non-profit organization, is responsible for the full accreditation and certification cycle including processing applications, assigning registered auditors, awarding the credential, and maintaining all records of applicants, candidates and awardees.
