The Northwest Sustainable Energy for Economic Development (NWSEED) and partners have scheduled a workshop in four Oregon locations for rural landowners interested in learning how to harness the power of wind.
The workshop is sponsored by U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development, Energy Trust of Oregon, Northwest Sustainable Energy for Economic Development (NWSEED), the Oregon Department of Energy and 3TIER.
The workshop will provide participants with important information about how they can be part of energizing rural Oregon with the power of wind. The workshop will cover all types of wind development including small wind turbines generating on-site electricity and multi-turbine commercial development.
Participants will learn about wind energy project development including resource assessment, siting, permitting, financing, land leases and interconnection. In addition to informative presentations, experts from all partnering organizations will be onsite to answer participants’ questions about various aspects of wind development. As an added bonus, 3TIER will provide all participants with a 50% discount on FirstLook reports and raffle off one free report at each workshop. Workshop attendees will come away with the knowledge and tools they need to wisely participate in wind development of all scales in Oregon.
All four workshops are open to the public with a registration fee of $25. A light lunch will be provided. For additional information and to register, visit the NWSEED website or send an email. or call 1.866.759.SEED. Space is limited; please register at least one week prior to scheduled workshop.
