Habitat for Humanity in Nassau County, the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), Renewable Energy Long Island (RELI), and the Long Island Solar Energy Industries Association (LISEIA) hosted the installation of solar panels on the new Habitat home being constructed at 9 Wilson Place, Roosevelt on Sunday, August 3, 2008.

Solar contractors and members of the Long Island Solar Energy Industries Association (LISEIA), a task force of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA), installed the solar panels donated by Empire Clean Energy. LISEIA represents 80% of the solar contractors on Long Island.
