Week 1 seminar: Accelerating Project Finance – Why? Who? How? Doug Payne, Executive Director, SolarTech
The financial crisis has increased the need for financing mechanisms with lower transaction costs and perceived project risk and more consistent, predictable processes, in order to increase the flow of capital to solar projects. Attendees will hear about recent federal, state, and local developments to streamline processes, increase consistency & predictability, and improve project bankability. PPAs, EPCs, O&M agreements, will be examined with a particular focus on identifying and reducing the soft costs and transactional steps to avoid delays, improve profitability, and increase project efficiency from initial sales engagement through deployment.
