SolarTech, an initiative of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, is readying for its Solar Leadership Summit, set for April 21-22, 2010 in San Ramon, California. The Summit will continue with its widely successful collaborative format that allows attendees to network, problem solve and share with top industry thought leaders within multiple break-out sessions.
On Day 1, the Summit will highlight ways to accelerate the solar economy, featuring integrated methods to reduce system costs and cycle times. On Day 2, the Innovation & Commercialization Forum will investigate ways of streamlining industry processes for bringing new technologies and products to market.
Last year, the Solar Leadership Summit welcomed over 300 attendees from technology and business leaders in the solar industry. Over 90% who attended last year’s Summit stated they would attend this important solar leadership event again.
SolarTech is requesting abstracts from subject matter experts on the sessions for both days until February 24th. Session descriptions are available for review at www.calsolarsummit.org.
Abstracts between 100-150 words, along with a biography, are due February 24, 2010. Abstracts, which can be submitted online, Submit an abstract on-line, will be peer-reviewed and selected based on a subject matter expertise and experience. Original and non-commercial perspectives are sought.
Selected speakers will be notified by March 10, 2010. Once selected, all final materials for the event are due by April 9, 2010. Submission of an abstract confirms the speaker’s availability to present at the Solar Leadership Summit, April 21st or 22nd. Confirmed speakers will receive a complimentary registration for the day they will be presenting.
Partners for the Summit include Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG), Underwriters Laboratories, the Interstate Renewable Energy Council, Inc. (IREC), SEMI PV Group, the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), and the Department of Energy’s Solar American Board for Codes and Standards (Solar ABCs).
