SolarTech, TUCC release revised guidelines for permitting residential PV systems

Historically, the permitting process for installing PV systems has been inconsistent across jurisdictions. Often, incomplete plans are submitted, which delays the issue of the permit. Additionally, inconsistent fees for permitting across jurisdictions are costly and confusing.

SolarTech, working with the Tri-Chapter Uniform Code Committee (TUCC), has addressed the permitting process, and recently released a revised electrical diagram and guidelines for residential roof-mounted, grid-connected PV systems to promote uniformity of solar PV plans, and help expedite the permitting process.
