New at SPI 10 this year is Solar Idea Swap sessions, designed to allow for small-scale networking and discussion among full conference attendees.   These hour-long sessions, facilitated by a subject matter expert, will create the opportunity for lively, interactive group conversation as the outcome.

Jane Weissman, Executive Director of IREC, will facilitate the Workforce Development Solar Idea Swap on Wednesday, October 13th, from 11:00 a.m-Noon in room 406B. Preparing the solar workforce calls for solid coordination among industry, educational providers, the trades and skills centers. Share your thoughts and perspectives on workforce development and weigh in about: who should we be training, if credentials help or confuse the market; if there are too many “green” training programs but not enough “green” jobs; and how we plan for future workforce needs?

Solar Swap Sessions take place Tuesday, October 12-Thursday, October 14th, from 11 a.m.-Noon.  Space is limited, and available for full conference registrants only.
