VIRGINIA – On May 8, Virginia’s State Corporation Commission adopted significant improvements to the state’s interconnection procedures. This order was published in the Virginia Register of Regulations on June 8.

The procedures specify a three-tiered rule set covering all utilities, all eligible technologies and systems up to 20 MW, including those interconnecting to both the distribution grid and the transmission grid (if an interconnection is subject to state jurisdiction).
