The Midwest Renewable Energy Association’s Introduction to Wind Systems Workshop is a one-day course designed for people who have an interest in residential size wind systems for their home or business. Students will learn the basics of wind energy: what wind energy is, how it works, and what it can do for them. Topics include: wind resources, basic system components, system types, turbine types, applications, and tower types.
This course is a prerequisite for all other MREA wind courses and is available throughout the year. The next available course, W 101.05, will be held Monday, November 9, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at ReNew the Earth Institute, 7558 Deer Road, Custer, Wisconsin.
