Applause! 48 IREC Credentials Awarded to Institutions & Instructors for High Quality Clean Energy Training

2016 was eventful on many fronts. For IREC, this included the award of 48 new credentials to high quality clean energy training providers and instructors across the country. These institutions and individuals stepped up to the plate to benchmark their quality and expertise against IREC’s rigorous accreditation and instructor certification standards, and we are delighted to welcome them into our distinguished cohort of IREC credential holders.

IREC credential holders provide training and education that is aligned with employer needs, so graduates are assured they are gaining knowledge and skills that are valued in the marketplace. Built on a strong foundation of industry-vetted standards, the IREC credential is a trusted source of quality for employers, students, consumers and other stakeholders.
For 35 years, IREC has led national efforts to make clean energy accessible and affordable for more Americans through regulatory efforts and broad workforce development initiatives, including the IREC Credentialing Program. Regarded as an independent thought leader, IREC is spearheading exciting new initiatives to support training, micro-credentialing and other professional development opportunities for workers and employers in clean energy and allied professions. IREC is an ANSI-accredited American National Standards Developer.
The training providers below enter into the IREC network of credential holders after successfully completing a rigorous assessment process for their curriculum, administration, facilities, tools and hardware, personnel, and safety practices. Instructors and Master Trainers have been successfully evaluated on the basis of their teaching and technical experience, as well as their teaching practices and commitments to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
