Developing strategies to recruit, train, and employ diverse talent is nothing new to the construction industry, but with the added pressures of an industry brain drain and introduction of new construction methodology; workforce development has become extremely difficult. This discussion topic aims to show how the Rising Stars program, a multi-city workforce development program focused on underserved communities, has identified ways to engage the industry and the community to reach young people and turn enthusiasm and exposure into sustainable jobs.
