As she was finishing her Environmental Science degree at Northern Arizona University, Jennifer Jenkins fell in love with wind energy after writing a research paper on utility scale wind. Following an internship with a Flagstaff turbine manufacturer where she focused on government incentives available for small wind, she’s been a strong advocate for the small wind industry ever since.

DWEA Deems First State Policy Summit a Success
The Distributed Wind Energy Association (DWEA) held its first annual State Policy Summit in Chicago on October 21st. Over 50 distributed and community wind professionals and regional advocates heard from the solar industry’s lead state policy strategist, Carrie Hitt with an update on the solar industry’s state policy efforts and advice for the assembled wind professionals.
