We’ve partnered with a diverse cohort of national and regional stakeholders and subject-matter-experts in a variety of sectors, including solar and storage, energy efficiency, home performance, code enforcement and the fire service.

Allied Professional Training
IREC’s team of instructional design, elearning, energy efficiency and renewable energy experts partner with a variety of sectors to include clean energy in their professional development toolkits. Our research-driven, proven training development approach offers compelling and relevant educational opportunities that fit into the lifestyle of a professional are directly applicable to their jobs. IREC training includes innovative online courses which enable learners to interact with content in a way that enhances knowledge retention and impacts job performance.
Credentials & Quality Assurance
As the sole accrediting body for clean energy training providers in the United States, IREC accredits and oversees the quality of more than 100 training providers across the country. We provide quality assurance for the home performance industry through training provider accreditation and worker certification. In our role as an American National Standards Developer, IREC develops and contributes to the content of national standards for training, home energy performance and energy efficiency practices. We have authored and re-designed national certification exams and pioneered the definition and use of micro-credentials for the clean energy and allied industries.
Workforce Strategy & Solutions
Comprehensive clean energy policy and planning integrates workforce considerations from the ground up. IREC offers practical industry expertise to regions, states, municipalities, utilities and other stakeholders to guide decisions regarding workforce, economic development and capacity building as they move toward a clean energy future. Our strategies incorporate the vision of a diverse clean energy industry and the potential for clean energy jobs to pave pathways out of poverty.
In addition to training and certification solutions, IREC leads the development of robust and diverse training-to-jobs pipelines for the clean energy industry. We conduct outreach to promote clean energy jobs by leveraging our interactive career maps and other solutions.
