Join us for the second session of the National Clean Energy Workforce Alliance’s webinar series: From Theory to Practice!

We discuss Maximizing Clean Energy & Infrastructure Workforce Opportunities, including recommendations from National Skills Coalition (NSC)’s forthcoming Clean Energy Infrastructure Workforce State Policy Playbook and a preview of some clean energy and infrastructure jobs and workforce research they’re conducting with the Blue-Green Alliance. This research will show the number and types of jobs created by federal clean energy and infrastructure investments, the current size and composition of the workforce trained to fill those jobs, and the gap that is going to have to be filled by new public and private investments in workforce training in order to staff those jobs and at the same time diversify the workforce employed by those industries.

Viewers will hear:

  • A preview of key findings on clean energy and infrastructure workforce needs both on the national level and in select states;
  • Education and skills training strategies that state leaders can deploy from NSC’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Workforce State Policy Playbook to meet those needs; and
  • How they can use both the labor market/workforce analysis and NSC’s policy playbook to advance more equitable outcomes for workers in good clean energy and infrastructure jobs. The webinar will include three panelists from the National Skills Coalition: Melissa Johnson, Managing Director of State Strategies; Amanda Bergson-Shilcock, Senior Fellow; and Patrick Mortiere, Policy Analyst.
